Hi! Nice to see you.

I’m a director and theatre-maker whose work centers on creating heart-forward, thought-provoking experiences that challenge societal norms and encourage audiences to engage deeply with the world around them. With a background in physical theatre, devising, Shakespeare, and new play development, I have cultivated a reputation for developing projects where ensembles shine. My approach is rooted in collaboration, empowering the ensemble to contribute to the storytelling process and ensuring that each piece is rich with diverse voices and perspectives. I’m grateful to have spent time working with The Alliance Theatre (Kendeda Festival 2020-2024), Actor’s Express (A Third Way). Synchronicity Theatre (The Little Prince), Stage Door Theatre (Peter and the Starcatcher, Cry It Out), Oglethorpe University (Xanadu), Horizon Theatre (The Cake; Apprentice Company Co-Leader), Theatrical Outfit (Launchpad-Fat Juliet; Unexpected Play Festival), Theatre du Reve (Code Noir; Je Ne Suis Pas Evangeline), Seven Stages (Curious Encounters), Essential Theatre (2024 Festival), and the SheATL new play festival. Lauren also self-produces new play workshops for playwrights she loves, and directed a new opera. She came to Atlanta by way of her native Indiana (Indiana Repertory, Phoenix Theatre, Indy Shakes, Crossroads Repertory, Brown County Playhouse, Shawnee Theatre) and several years in California (South Coast Repertory, Chance Theatre, CalRep, Long Beach Playhouse). I was honored to be a member of the Lincoln Center Theater 2018 Directors Lab.
